If you are having trouble printing on your iPad – AND other students **can** print – here are some things to check:
Are you printing to the correct printer? A surprising number of students stand by one printer while their documents is being printed in the other building.
Bump your Network.
This is more than just turning your Wi-Fi off and then on. You want your iPad to “forget” the MDS-student network, then reconnect it. This often clears the decks and allows your ipad to find the printer.
There is a 3D printer AND a 3D scanner in the ARC. All of the Macs are equipped with software to work with graphics, which includes 3d printing development.
Problem: If your iPad all of a sudden stops working oncampus, it is most likely because your subscription to the network has expired.
It MUST be renewed every 30 days.
Symptoms: no email access, can’t print, can’t surf the web, but the wireless icon is still active.
- Open up a web browser window.
- Surf to an OFF-CAMPUS website you’ve never visited before. Perhaps HamSandwichTees.com, or ShadowSoundStudio.com, or Macon.com… well, you get the idea. It MUST be off-campus, and MUST be somewhere you’ve never visited before.
- You SHOULD see the “login here” splash screen.
