WHERE
The ARC
WHEN
After your last exam [but you CAN turn it in early, if you would like to beat the crowds]
WHAT
You’ll hand in your iPad, Charger block, AND Cable.
See “Questions answered” section below.
HOW
This is a 5 step process that is MUCH easier to do than to actually write about.
- Passcode off [or set to all zeroes], AT LEAST 10% charge on the battery
- Fill out the paper form, SIGN IT
- Baggie –> write Name, MDS#, grade just completed on it WITH A SHARPIE. THEN stick the block and cable inside the bag.
- Sticky note –> Write Name, MDS#, grade just completed. Place it on the iPad.
- Turn it into whoever is manning the station. DO NOT JUST LEAVE IT SOMEWHERE.
THINGS TO KNOW
- You’ll be charged $25 for turning in your iPad after Wednesday May 21 at Noon.
- –>YOU<– must turn in your own iPad. DO NOT ask anyone else to do it for you. DO NOT agree to turn in anyone else’s iPad “as a favor”.
QUESTIONS ANSWERED
I’m missing a part [cable or block].
You will be charged for the missing parts.
Something is damaged.
- Cable – turn in the damaged cable. We treat cables as wear items, so there would be no charge.
- Charger block – turn in the damaged block. This is also treated as a wear item.
- Case – if the case shows UNUSUAL wear and tear or damage, you will be charged for a replacement. Standard wear and tear does NOT incur a charge
- The stand on the case – also treated as a wear item. We do not charge for the stand being broken – but we also do not replace them.
- iPad screen – if your iPad has a cracked screen or other hardware damage, you will be billed the standard amount for the repair [$200]
I don’t feel like getting my carcass to the ARC during exam week.
You’ll be charged the $25 late fee. If you ask someone else to turn it in, we will not take it.
