IOS11 is here – but hang on a second before you update your school iPad.<\/h2>\n

Here are some things to think about:<\/h3>\n

  1. Not everyone can update. Check Settings \u2014> Software Update<\/strong> to see if you can.<\/li>\n
  2. Students cannot update at school, only at home. It\u2019s a network thing.<\/li>\n
  3. It\u2019s a ONE WAY street. Once you move your iPad to IOS11, there\u2019s no going back.<\/li>\n
  4. It\u2019s going to take a while – I\u2019ve seen reports that say it will take anywhere from a half-hour to several hours. It all depends!<\/li>\n
  5. Some Apps will no longer work. For MDS the core standard apps will all work under IOS 11. To check the apps that won\u2019t BEFORE you upgrade go to
    \nSettings \u2014> About \u2014> Applications<\/strong>,
    \nand look at the list.<\/li>\n
  6. If you need some nonworking apps removed from your iPad, send an email to Mr. Rule with the list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
