If you are NOT signed in to your iCloud\/AppleID account, then Find My iPad will NOT work. This might not seem like a big deal now, but will be when you misplace your iPad [ask the 10 students who have misplaced theirs this week<\/em>] OR had theirs stolen out of their car [yes, it has happened<\/em>].<\/p>\n

So CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGED IN TO YOUR iCLOUD ACCOUNT. Here’s how:<\/p>\n

If you running IOS 10:<\/p>\n

Open up Settings<\/p>\n

At the top left you will see one of two or three things:<\/p>\n

AppleID is NOT signed in<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

If you see this, your iPad is NOT signed in. You should sign in RIGHT NOW – use your MDS email account and your Moodle password.<\/p>\n

NOTE: If your moodle password does not have at least one uppercase latter, one lowercase letter, and one number, you should have modified your moodle password to make your AppleID password.<\/p>\n

Switch the case of the first letter. If missing a number, add 1871 to the end of your moodle password.<\/p>\n

If you have changed, or didn’t follow these instructions at the beginning, you’ll need to do the “reset password” dance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you see this then you are indeed signed in.<\/p>\n

TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION –> DON’T!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Click and say “NOT NOW”. Save yourself some headaches.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Click on the note about Two Factor Authentication, and click on “Not Now”. This will save you a lot of headaches.<\/p>\n
