{"id":869,"date":"2017-08-07T10:06:47","date_gmt":"2017-08-07T15:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tech2.mountdesales.net\/?p=869"},"modified":"2017-08-07T10:06:47","modified_gmt":"2017-08-07T15:06:47","slug":"my-ipad-is-in-the-wrong-time-zone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tech.mountdesales.net\/?p=869","title":{"rendered":"My iPad is in the wrong time zone!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>If your iPad clock is a few hours off [<\/strong><em>it thinks it&#8217;s still in California&#8230;<\/em>]<strong>, here&#8217;s how to bring it to Eastern time:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Settings&#8211;&gt;Privacy<\/li>\n<li>Locations Services &#8211;&gt; Turn ON<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will let the iPad figure out where it is.<\/p>\n<h4>While you are there, the iPad Guy suggests you make these changes:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>System Services:\n<ul>\n<li>Leave these ON:\n<ul>\n<li>Compass Calibration<\/li>\n<li>Emergency SOS<\/li>\n<li>Find My iPad<\/li>\n<li>Setting Time Zone<\/li>\n<li>WiFi Networking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Turn these OFF:\n<ul>\n<li>Homekit<\/li>\n<li>Location-Based ANTHING [Alerts, Ads, Suggestions]<\/li>\n<li>Frequent Locations<\/li>\n<li>Product Improvement &#8211; all 3 OFF<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Status Bar Icon ON<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These will extend your battery life and better protect your privacy AND reduce some annoyances.<\/p>\n<h4>It will take a while for the iPad to update the time.<br \/>\nWant to speed up the process?<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Settings &#8211;&gt; General &#8211;&gt; Date&amp;Time<\/li>\n<li>Turn &#8220;Set Automatically&#8221; Off<\/li>\n<li>Change &#8220;Cupertino&#8221; to &#8220;Atlanta&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Then you can change the &#8220;Set Automatically&#8221; back on if you want to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If your iPad clock is a few hours off [it thinks it&#8217;s still in California&#8230;], here&#8217;s how to bring it to Eastern time: Settings&#8211;&gt;Privacy Locations Services &#8211;&gt; Turn ON This will let the iPad figure out where it is.
